März, die Mitgliederversammlung findet erstmals nicht in einer 'Mercedes-Stern' geprägten Umgebung, sondern im Hotel 'Europe' in Stuttgart statt.	March: the Annual Meeting took place for the first time ever in a hotel, the Europe Hotel in Stuttgart.
Das Jahresmodell ist eine transparente S-Klasse W221, Auflage 110 Stück.	The annual special model is a transparent S Class (W221) limited to 110 pieces.
Im Modellauto-Abo sind 17 Modelle enthalten. Zum 20jährigen Jubiläum erscheinen zwei Sondermodelle, die maßgeblich von Roland Rittmann realisiert wurden. Ein handgefertigter, silberner 300SL W 194/11 Prototyp 1953, von Tin Wizard im Maßstab 1:43, Auflage 60 Stück.Im Maßstabes 1:87 gibt es den weißblauen Transporter L319 als Kastenwagen von BUB, mit MBMC-Jubiläumsbedruckung. Die grafische Gestaltung des Modells und der Verpackung, die der MBMC frei wählen durfte, übernahm Lothar Jacques. Dieses Modell in einer Auflage von 480 Stück für den MBMC, ist eine Spende von BUB zu unserem 20jährigen Jubiläum.	To mark the 20th anniversary of the Club, two special models were issued, for which we can thank Roland Rittmann, who was the driving force behind them: a silver 300SL (W194/II) prototype of 1953 in 1:43, limited to 60 pieces, and in 1:87 a L319 panel van with a special anniversary imprint. The graphic design on packaging and model are bothsigned Lothar Jacques. This model, limited to 480 units, is a donation on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the MBMC by BUB.
Die Abo-Statistik: Von 1988 bis 2006 gab es 289 Modelle (einschl. Sets mit mehreren Modellen) d. h. insgesamt 363 Einzelmodellen. Das sind in 19 Jahren Abo im Schnitt 19 Modelle pro Jahr. Eine beachtliche Zahl! Die Teilnehmerzahl am Abo hat sich allerdings sehr stark reduziert und auf einen harten Kern von rd. 30 Abonnenten stabilisiert.	The Abo (subscription) Statistics: 289 models incl. sets, i.e. in total 363 separate models were issued between 1988 and 2006, i.e. on average 19 models per year in 19 years. However the number of subscribers to the models has gone down drastically to 30 only this year. The Abo of 2006 comprises 17 models.
Die von Lothar Jacques erstellte MBMC-Chronik zum 20jährigen Bestehen wird als separates Heft veröffentlicht.	The MBMC-Chronicles, which have been created by Lothar Jacques are published as a separate booklet for the 20th anniversary of the MBMC.
Einführung eines einheitlichen Clubausweises für alle anerkannten Mercedes-Benz Clubs. Diese 'Club Card' im Scheckkartenformat, enthält neben dem entsprechenden Clublogo den Mitgliedsnamen und eine Codenummer. Card Inhabern sollen damit innerhalb der DaimlerChrysler AG einige Vergünstigungen eingeräumt werden.	A standardized new club pass in international credit card format is introduced for all Mercedes-Benz Clubs. This card shows a club-specific logo, and the members name plus a code number.
Eröffnung des neu gebauten Mercedes-Benz Museum, unter dem Namen 'Mercedes Welt'. Das Museum wurde von dem Amsterdamer Architekten Ben van Berkel entworfen.	Grand opening of the new Mercedes-Benz Museum with the name Mercedes Welt. The architect is Ben van Berkel, from Amsterdam, NL.
Der MBCCCI gibt in Anerkennung der beispielhaften Clubarbeit die erste, auf 1000 Stück limitierte Mercedes-Benz Club Edition 2006 für die Mitglieder aller MB-Clubs heraus. Dabei handelt es sich um eine von Wiking bestückte Modellautopackung, mit 5 PKW und zwar 260 D W 138 in weißgrün, 600 W 100 in piemontrot, 280 SL R 113 in gelb, 450 SE W 116 in reinweiß und 260E W 124 in plakatblau.	The MBCCCI, in a move to reward the efforts of all MB-Clubs releases a set of models limited to 1000 pieces. It is the “Mercedes-Benz Club Edition 2006” the first to be followed by many others. The 5 1:87 scale models in this 'edition' are a 260D (W138) in light green, a 600 (W100) in red, a 280SL (R113) in yellow, a 450SE (W116) in white, and a 260W (W124) in blue.
